府城擁有極為濃厚的文化底蘊及溫暖的人文氣息，造就了民間信仰與傳統工藝豐沛多元的樣貌，因此才有眾多廟宇座落於巷弄中，形成地方上的文化特色，深植於人民的日常之中。我們會根據生活上遇到的困境，採取不同的祭祀方式，祭拜不同的神祇，追求心靈依託。從中感受信仰溫潤敦厚的包容，綻放百花鮮明的色彩，蘊含著獨特的氣質與美感。而藏存於宮廟中珍貴的技藝皆是透過職人堅守遵循古法的韌性與堅持，發揚工藝的傳統精神，使工藝美學得以永續傳承，藉以喚起大眾對於文化保存的重視。
此展覽與府城在地企業—「仁美商標」合作，仁美商標為台灣最大的緹花布織造廠之一，產品包含缇花織標、御守、緞帶、臂章…等，為國內外著名成衣、鞋業等服飾品牌供應商。此次合作運用其緹花織布技術，展現信仰、工藝、生活中所承載的種種日常，抽取傳統符號轉譯成當代視覺元素，淬煉出屬於臺南獨特的文化美學，如經緯交織穿梭於古今之間，同時串起人與人之間情感的重要共鳴。在展場的陳列中由展示物與觀者互動，環繞著信仰、工藝、生活之間共生共存的微妙關係，產生遊歷其境的無限想像，宛如進入了一場人與神之間的感官體驗，也開啟了「神遊織都」的文化之旅。

The abundant culture and humanities in Tainan develop the diverse religions and traditional craftsmanship. Therefore there are so many temples located in the alleys and which gives the down to the earth impression for the ordinary life here. People worship their needs in different ways and to different gods, to seek a spiritual support. The tolerance and faith from the worship, the colourful decor from the building and interior contain unique character and beauty. The rich handicraft works in the temples have been passed on by the experienced masters, who strive for continuing the tradition and getting the attention form the public. This exhibition is cooperated with one of the biggest jacquard fabric manufacture “Junmay Label & Textile”, which supplies the jacquard labels, ribbons, patches, and etc. to worldwide well-known brands of garment and footwear. Junmay Label’s jacquard weaving technology lives up the beliefs, craftsmanship and daily life in the exhibition. Transforming the traditional symbols to capture the visual attention of the unique beauty of Tainan. Like interlacing threads, the ancient and modern are weaving through people. By interacting with the display in the exhibition, the visitors will have a sensuous tour of imagination between human being and gods through religion, craftsmanship and life for the culture in this weaving city, Tainan.

展場表現主要採用緹花織標的技術：將事先設計好的圖案，輸入織布機，以經線、緯線交錯組成的凹凸花紋可織出高雅美觀圖案，並應用到布標、香火袋等展品上；同時也將印標印刷技術呈現於展品中，讓我們透過仁美專業的緹花織布與印刷技術，和藝術家們一起探索台灣在地文化信仰的獨特美學。

Here we show the skills of jacquard fabrics. Input the design to the Jacquard machine and weave in warp and weft to turn the thread to elegant patterns, which apply to the patches, temple amulets and etc. Through Junmay’s professional Jacquard and printing technics, the artists present these beautiful works combining the local religions and traditions.
